My eggs have been frozen when I collect them from my girls. I wondered if they would hatch after being frozen , and then thawed . I know they were frozen especially with temps of -25 to -30 below. So far I have 6 little fuzzy butts from them. All seem to be fine, and running around in the brooder.

During natural incubation, this buys the chick some time while the remaining eggs in the nest hatch. After this, Mother Hen leads her chicks away from the nest to find food and water. Hatcheries use this to their advantage. They can ship chicks in boxes around the country without food or water by sending them immediately after hatching .
